Hi everyone! I hope you all are looking forward to Thanksgiving tomorrow as well as celebrating all of your favorite holiday traditions with your family. Looking into 2024 (already!), I was reminded about the great families I have been honored to work with and continue to work with in the future. I wanted to brief in the next few weeks on helpful tips (and tricks!) when booking photography or even taking your own pictures. PSA: I have something FUN coming soon for that to keep the blog handy!

In 2024 there will be so many beautiful mamas glowing and ready for their maternity photoshoot as well as newborns. I know new Moms especially think when should I book? What will I look like? What outfits photograph best? All of the things! I am here to share a few helpful ideas to consider.

Maternity sessions typically between between 27-32 weeks. This can vary depending on the size of your bump or what size you want it to be for photos.

Newborn sessions should take place in the first 7-10 days of life. Babies are still very sleepy during this time and are in the cuddly stage which makes for great pictures! The younger they are the smoother your session will go. I will make sure to get photos of the all the sweet little toes, fingers, button noses and all of the features you’ll surely miss as they grow and want to remember. I will also capture as many of those sweet details you put into their nursery to always keep in your memories when they were little!
