Top 4 Wedding Moments to Photograph

photography, Uncategorized, Wedding

A Wedding Day is something planned and prepped for MONTHS! Some brides dream of their big day their entire lives! While you are busy planning, prepping, thinking of color combinations, cake and decor all of these things are so important. What about the actual BIG DAY? It’s 1 day, 24 hours, your Wedding Day! As a photographer, I want to do my best to capture the sweetest and most intimate moments you won’t ever want to forget. Here are some of the Top 5 favorite moments of a wedding day.

  1. Bride and Father of the Bride First Look: oh the emotions this one brings! A Dad seeing his little girl as a woman, a Bride and fully “leaving the nest”. It is always such a bittersweet moment where for just a second the beautiful Bride becomes that “Daddy’s Girl” one last time before she is a wife. It is truly a moment to treasure and something to capture for me as a must!
  2. Bride and Groom First Look: While I understand this is not part of everyone’s special day and those that want to stick to tradition get some of the BEST candid moments of the groom’s reaction there is something special about a Bride and Groom first look. Taking a moment just the two of you before the ceremony, crowd, guests, and chaos there is something peaceful about this moment. It brings everything full circle where it isn’t about the dressing fitting, caterer, flowers, just the two of you and a day to celebrate your union. I love the groom’s reaction as they see their soon to be wife in a whole new light but I also love the bride’s reaction as she shows the dress and look she dreamed about to her groom! The moment is serene and exudes love and brings a little calm before the storm.
  3. First Dance: The first day is always so much fun! Of course it brings a time for the new couple to shine but also love the moment as they dance surrounded by friends and family that they choose to spend the day with. I love each first dance song as I know it will be a special song for their life together when it plays. The first dance shows there ceremony is over, the union is official and it is time to CELEBRATE!
  4. Ceremony Exit: The ceremony exit is always so exciting! The “formal” part is behind you and as a new husband and wife you are able to take a breather, enjoy the moment together and walk down the aisle as one! What a relief and somber moment! The tears dry up, you move onto photos with your wedding party, family and as a couple but for just a second it’s the two of you in those first few moments as husband and wife!

As I head into 2025 I am so looking forward to all of the future couples I will be working with! I still have a few openings for the year so please reach out!

SOUTH CAROLINA WEDDING
AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m a wife and mom of two, which has taught me to notice the in-between moments that matter most — the way your parents tear up during the vows, your best friend adjusting your veil, the quiet touch before you walk down the aisle. These are the moments that become priceless over time. I work with couples who not only value thoughtfully designed details and personal touches throughout their day, but who see their wedding as a celebration of something much bigger — a marriage built on love and friendship. With a calm, candid approach, I capture timeless, film-inspired images so you can be fully present and trust that every meaningful moment is documented.

And I can't wait to get to know you!
