One of the first questions my clients ask me after booking is “what about location?” Although I do have a list of locations, who says it can’t be at your house?! It’s where you spend most of your time being a family. It’s home, it’s familiar and that can be very comforting when you’re in front of the camera! Let’s talk about some perks for booking an in-home session.

1. It’s convenient! I come to you. All you have to do is get ready and clean the space we will be shooting in! (I can help you figure this out before the session!) If baby needs a bottle or your toddler needs a mid-session snack to continue, you’ve got it all right there. Plus, you’ve got your entire closet at your fingertips in case we need it or you need help with picking out some finishing pieces when I get there!

2. It makes your session personal. This is YOUR home. No one else is going to have pictures in your space. And in the future, whether you’ve moved or changed a lot to your house, these pictures will be a reminder of what life and your home was like all those years ago which is really special.

3. It’s less overwhelming for young children. Kids will be most comfortable in their every day space which makes a session just a little bit easier!

4. It allows me to photograph your family in the most authentic way. My desire for you and your family during our time together is to be able to create memories together so I can capture you as you are. Maybe your family loves to snuggle up on the couch and listen to Dad play the guitar and sing. Or maybe y’all LOVE playing board games as a family so let’s bust out those things that make your family special and photograph it. These are the moments I wish for you to have to look back on when you’re old and grey.
